D.Law’s Fall 2026 Paralegal Training Program is a six-week, paid, in-person program designed to help aspiring legal professionals build practical law firm skills through classroom-style instruction and real-world legal training.
Silvia
Pimentel
Program Director
The Paralegal Training Program will be led by Silvia Pimentel, a dedicated litigation support professional with over six years of hands-on experience in employment law. Silvia plays a central role in helping those she works with understand the legal process from the inside out, bringing both technical knowledge and genuine compassion to everything she does. Her background in paralegal studies, with a Paralegal Certificate from Pasadena City College, combined with her frontline experience seeing how workers are impacted by employer violations, gives her a unique perspective that she brings into every interaction.
Her favorite part of the job? Making sure no one feels alone in the process, and showing the next generation of legal professionals what it looks like to fight for the people who need it most.
Who Should Apply
This program is open to individuals who have earned a Paralegal Certificate from an ABA-approved program within 12 months of the program start date, as well as students currently enrolled in an ABA-approved Paralegal Certificate Program expected to be completed by September 8, 2025.
For those currently enrolled in a Paralegal Certificate Program, we ask for a letter from the school that the applicant is on track to successfully complete the program. Applicants who have completed their paralegal program but have not received a certificate, we ask for a letter from the school confirming the applicant successfully completed the program and is expected to receive a certificate.
Ideal candidates are detail-oriented, organized, eager to learn, and ready to build practical experience in a fast-paced legal environment.
